What does this connector do?

I was servicing my nephew’s 06 RT and had removed the fuel tank to access the servo brake unit for flushing and noticed this connector on the ZFE (central electronics unit) bracket, not connected to anything:

The RT has heated grips/seats, cruise...but no ASC, no radio and the ESA shocks were replaced with Ohlins before he purchased this bike.

Just out of curiosity what does this connector do? I was guessing it might be ESA...

Ride safe!

Never mind...

Found a document by John Seabury when he did a shock conversion.

The connector is apparently for the front ESA strut...
