    K75S Spoiler Rear Hanger Repair

I need to rebuild the back of my new to me K75S. The place where the "shackle" and rubber grommet should be is completely gone. I hope the two pictures show the problem. I have both parts on order. Does anyone have some photos of what that section is supposed to look like? And/or, has anyone had to do this same job on a K75S? Any critical measurements I should be following to get it to fit up? I assume I will need to use some sheet aluminum to fabricate the whole area, unless there is a better suggestion. Thanks,

    John,

The last photo shows the "shackle" in place. The rectangular grommet goes inside of that. It helps to put a little silicone lube on the inside of the grommet to help the tongue of the rear mount to slide into it.

When mounting or removing the spoiler, back out the two bolts that hold the rear tongue mount to the center stand as far as you can without them coming completely out. This allows you to align the top of the spoiler, the two main rubber mounts on the bottom, and the rear tongue as you put it in place. Then retighten those bolts and the main mounts (and the top front bolt if your bike is an earlier one).

Thanks, Lee. Great pictures. Exactly what I needed. With the details you provided in the pictures, I feel I can rebuild it.
