Hex nut size

1994 R100RT... I’m replacing the fork springs. Can any one tell me the size of the Hex nut on the fork tubs.

If memory serves me, it's 36mm...that's what my /7 is. It's either that or 27mm. Easy enough to measure across the flats with a ruler...you'll know what it is.

The older bikes had a sheet metal wrench in the toolkit that fit those nuts.

Since the newer bikes have K-bike forks, the size may be different.
