37mm Aftermarket Fuel Pumps for '95 K75

I am investigating purchasing a spare aftermarket 37mm fuel pump for a '95 K75. Just a few questions before I begin a search of the Auto Parts Suppliers, local and national for "on the road".

1. Does the 37mm pump body need to be shimmed in a 43mm vibration damper or do they require a whole new damper ring ?

2. Does a stock bag type filter on the bottom of a 43mm pump fit most aftermarket type 37mm pumps ?

3. Anyone have a reliable brand name or part # for the aftermarket pumps ?

I'm more curious where he found a store that stocked a pump for a Fiero! IIRC a pump for a 4cyl Mustang is a more common replacement.

I wouldn't use that pump as it uses a special electrical connector and the pump looks noticeably shorter. I've used the pumps from Euromotoelectrics for over 50,000 miles and 20,000 miles on two bikes and they're still ticking.

I've used a few pumps also from Euro Motoelectics. Good business to support.

I primarily was interested in alternative fixes for "on the road" when you forgot to bring along that spare pump. Now, what would be a good material to shim a 37 mm pump body in a 43 mm isolation dampening ring. Hey !, pieces of rubber hose. It's a little Walter Mitty stuff but nothing wrong with being prepared.

Actually, I had a couple of false (non) starts lately, like the pump was failing. I have a spare. I hope it's not the wiring, cause a spare pump will not do any good.
