Training options?

This is my first MOA rally, just asking what if any training sessions/seminars may be available during the time of the rally? I missed out on a BMW offroad training session ad the Fundy Rally last year when I wasn't able to get there. It would be nice to get some new info under the belt.

There will be more than 100 seminars on varying topics. You could, but won't, spend your entire daytime hours at the rally attending seminars. Unless it differs from prior rallies an experienced riders skills course will be offered. I don't know about anything off-road oriented but would not be shocked to see such.

If you’re interested in off-road training, you should probably get signed up quickly as the course will fill up. Here is the write up for the off-road portion:

World class instructors Bill Dragoo, Tom Asher and Jocelin Snow will be in Des Moines to give you the basics of adventure riding and then some. When you leave Des Moines, you'll be ready to tackle the world of adventure travel.

The training is being provided by the MOA and the MOAF.

Yes. It would be nice if BMW Motorrad were to set up some stuff with their own bikes, but that would be a major thing for them to do.

I opted for the Streetmasters, I will have already ridden 2000 km’s of dirt by the time I get to the rally. Not to say I wouldn’t enjoy a little more training.:)
