I just got accepted to the April 21 "ride to live" one day motorcycle course through the Hawthorne, Ca. P.D. 400 miles from my doorstep to the course, will go out the 20th, stay in Ramada less than a mile from the course the next morning. Registration/sign up is 7:30am, course starts at 8am and ends at 3:30pm.

This year they've added a "canyon" course ride to the schedule besides the cones course under the freeway.

Anyone else taken this course? It's supposed to be a motor course like the motor leo's go through before being assigned as a motor officer.
