2007 K1200GT Remove Fairing

Hi Folks!
I need to remove the fairing from my 2007 K1200GT. I understand that some of the screws are tricky to find.

Does anybody have a procedure for doing this properly?
For reasons we all understand, I want to make sure to do this 100% right.

Thanks!

Not hard at all

With the right bit (T25) and a battery powered screwdriver, and a small ratchet that can hold the screw bit, the cover comes off easy. I use a card board sheet and push the screws into cardboard in the order I took them off and something to tell me where they came from. Some are longer than others so keeping in order is imperative. There are screws hidden under the front nose of bike in front of the radiator. There are a couple behind a flap of plastic that runs around the front wheel well. Other than those thats all I remember being fun to find.

With the fairing off now is good time to inspect front wiring for wear and tear, and change the horn if you want to. Have fun.

Cheers,

Miles
