The Venue – Willville Motorcycle Camp
Twin Valley Rally is held at Willville Motorcycle Camp in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. The 26 acre motorcycle-only campground features level, grassy tent camping in a tall wood beside a mountain stream. The diligently maintained bath house with hot showers, spacious pavilion, community campfire, advantageous location and overall ambiance make Willville the ideal venue for Twin Valley Rally. Willville is located one mile west of the Blue Ridge Parkway (milepost 177) on US Route 58 at Meadows of Dan, Virginia. Willville is a Motorcycle only campground, Cars, Trucks and Trailers can not be parked on site.

Barbecue Pork & Chicken Smoked on Site
Like to eat after a hard day’s ride? Nobody goes hungry at the Twin Valley Rally! The food alone is worth the rally fee.
Friday night’s menu is succulent smoked chicken breasts, massive baked potatoes and green beans, chased with sweet tea or lemonade and a huge chocolate chip cookie for dessert. But the crowning meal, Saturday’s dinner, is even better.
Before Friday’s meal is even over, our volunteer’s fire up the hand-made smoker and start more than a hundred pounds of pork butts steeping low and slow for twelve to fourteen hours over a custom blend of seasoned hard woods. Our volunteer cooks devote hours into procurement and preparation of a truly fabulous meal, pairing your flavorful, smoky moist pork with baked beans, Cole slaw, and sweet tea or lemonade and a huge chocolate chip cookie for dessert. It may very well be the best barbecue you’ll ever eat.
For those of you hanging around the campground during lunch hours, our chefs will be offering smoked all beef hotdogs, Jonathan’s famous homemade chili, chips and an assortment of condiments and drinks.

Nightly Live Entertainment
Willville campground, home of the Twin Valley Rally is situated along The Crooked Road . Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail was organized twelve years ago to celebrate and preserve the indigenous music, heard now elsewhere but nowhere better. Southwest Virginia, where Scots-Irish and German settlers brought their fiddles and Africans brought their banjos, is the birthplace of bluegrass and old time music. Far from being re-enactments, musical events throughout the region are true enactments, living history lessons of the roots of a unique musical genre. On both Friday and Saturday nights, Twin Valley Rally has live music at the covered pavilion plus singing by the campfire for everyone who plays, sings or taps their feet. So, bring your instrument and expect a memorable experience.

The Playground
The Twin Valley Rally region is widely regarded as one of the most geographically diverse and exciting for a motorcyclist in the nation. Our venue, Willville Motorcycle Camp, sits atop the Blue Ridge Escarpment on US Route 58, a mile west of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Scenic, twisty roads radiate from the campground in every direction. For those who like to get dirty, there are miles of unpaved roads in proximity as well. Past rally goers have returned home breathless and amazed at the splendor.
Within a hundred mile radius you will find such notable attractions as the New River Gorge; Hawks Nest State Park (WV); Breaks Interstate Park; Mt. Rogers (5729′, highest point in Virginia); Mt. Mitchell (6,683′, highest point in the Appalachians and the Eastern United States); Roan Mountain; Natural Tunnel State Park; Hungry Mother State Park (southern end of the best section of Route 16); numerous Civil War battlefield sites; exhibition coal mines, and dozens of operating wineries. Every destination you choose will delight and amaze you, leaving you to wonder how you can quit the job, sell the house, and move here permanently. You will likely meet people at the Rally who have done just that.

Amenities
The party begins as riders roll in on Friday. Hurricaine Florence - Will she be attending?

I'm home in western North Carolina and keeping an eye on Florence. In the event that she's on top of us on Friday & Saturday (don't try to read too much into that statement) will the rally still be on?

The Rally will go on.

This is from the Twin Valley Riders home page:

" *** Rally Update ***
We have had successful but soggy rallies in the past with flooding rain over both Friday and Saturday and we made the best of it and mostly all had a good time.
At this late date, food has been ordered, commitments have been made to suppliers, vendors, and participants. The Rally (as they say in show business) will go on!! "

So we will be up there at Willville making the most of it.

Twin Valley Rally CANCELLED.....:

This just posted on TVR Facebook:

<<"*** TVR RALLY CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE FLORENCE ***
The Officers of Twin Valley Riders and Will Beers, owner of Willville, have with great deliberation and regret decided to cancel this year’s Rally.
With new information regarding camping evacuations all along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia, and the current forecasts of 35-40 mph wind gusts and potential flooding, we have made this decision for the safety of our participants.
Additional communication to pre-registrants is forthcoming. ">>
