Because I have nothing else on which to spend money, I'm thinking about swapping out my front shock. Anyone have any idea how long to remove and replace the front end would take? Is fairing removal recommended or required?

Thanks in advance!

After reconsidering my available time and re-calculating my Screw-Up Quota*, I think I might just stop in at Ted Porter's Beemer Shop when I ride down to Laguna Seca and let him do the job. I want to transfer my ESA hardware to a new Wilbers anyway so I may as well have a highly-reputable professional whose work I have already experienced have at it. Unless, of course, Mr. Henson feels like a trip to Vancouver. Bring the missus and spend some time in Whistler! :D

*Screw-Up Quota: Things which I understand I could possibly screw up but am willing to accept the risk/consequences. Measured annually.

Wouldn't say no to another trip up that way:wave

It's not a 10 on the 10 scale, but seeing those pivot pins used on the oilhead final drives and the warnings about not over torquing the fragile cage makes you check and double check your torque wrench.
A ride in and install wouldn't be a bad thing either.
