VIN Option Information

I'm looking at a new to me 2014 R1200GS Adventure and wondering if anyone knows a way to reseach the VIN to determine what factory options the bike came with. Can anyone tell me if that's possible?

After trying (unsuccessfully) several, this one worked (though it had a lot of German in the response)

Then use google translate for any German.

How can I determine the production date? When I run my VIN I see an Upholstery code: 2017-01-12 and a Production date: Z667544-0A12 N1H 0000 K51 (R

Those are the only two things that seem to be date related.

I think the etkbmw decoder just has the fields mis-labeled. My bike's production date is also showing up in the upholstery field.

bimmer.work used to be a good decoder, but I cannot get any results from it tonight. Tried two computers and a phone, four different browsers. Either no Captcha offered, or endless Captchas, or the Captcha is verified and then the fields just clear and I'm back where I started with no results.

Another useful website for a new or potential owner is this one (http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/us/en.../en/virtualcenter/index_recall.html&notrack=1) which will show open recalls on BMW motorcycles just by entering the last 7 digits of the VIN.

This site helps with decoding what the various packages contain.
