R60/6 Headlamp wiring question.

Can anyone tell me where the second spade attachment goes for the parking lamp connection? I know the grey/black goes from head lamp to circuit panel but then I have an open spade at the lamp. Trying to recover from some bad wining by a previous owner. I looked at the wiring diagram but it's not clear to me Thanks.

It’s. Even Awhile But

Likely , one is positive 12v and the other is ground?

I meant to say; “It’s been awhile.”

Light

Brown is ground in the German world. The ground prolly is or was a jumper off the big Bakelite (i.e. crumbly piece of poo poo). 12v + is often green. You can find a good ground somewhere. The only 2 connections I trust would be solder, preferred, and those clever, expensive, bulky screw-together barrel connector. Fergit the name...

What's the wire color of the single strand? According to the '76 diagram, the big connector should have yellow, white, and brown...and it appears that's the case. The parking light power is supposed to be gray with black strips...of course the other wire should be brown for ground.

The single strand is the gray with a black stripe. The connection that I am confused about is on the headlamp and would be right next to the gray with black stripe

As Roger said, and as the diagram says, that additional terminal is likely the ground for the parking light. You could try running two wires from your battery or a 12v source, and touch the positive to the one terminal and the negative to the other/spare terminal...see if your parking light comes on. If it does, then you'll need to find a way to get a ground connection.

Ok, I will give it a try. Thanks.

As Roger said, I think the brown-ground wire for the parking light is piggy backed off the headlight ground.

The screw together wiring connectors are called posi-lock.
