My name is Brian. I just joined MOA although I've been a member of ABC for a couple of years. I have a 1971 R60/5 and a 1978 R100S. I also have a 2013 Harley-Davidson Dyna SwitchBack FLD, but don't hold that against me. I'm evolving from Harleys to Beemers Both of the Air Heads were my Dad's. I learned to ride on the R60. Dad gave up riding a couple of years ago, at 87-years-old! I'm so glad I was able to rescue both of his Air Heads. Dave Brown of Brown Motorworks went through them top to bottom. I came to own the R100 through a combination of incredible coincidence and divine intervention. I won't go into that now but it is a great story. I plan on attending the annual ABC campout at Furnace Creek in Death Valley Feb. 15-19, 2018. If anyone from MOA or ABC is attending, please let me know. Email is schoolhousefiresafety@gmail.com. Cell phone is 562-201-9797. Happy New Year!

Welcome, Brian. Hey, if you've yet to receive your Owners News magazine, this month's issue features part 3 of a great airhead restoration article. Parts 1 & 2 are in recent back issues.

You can see the stories in the on-line version of the BMW ON.
