One of the curiosities of Ballarat's history is Charles Manson and his crew who frequented Ballarat. One of Manson's 1946 Dodge Power Wagons is still present in the ghost town.

Interesting place! Is that within the NP boundaries?

What really makes that truck unique here in the US is that it’s a long-abandoned vehicle not riddled through and through with bullet holes.

Ballarat is just outside the western boundary of Death Valley NP. Easy access from Ridgecrest, CA.
