Does anyone know of someone qualified to give testimony at a small claims trial in Nassau county? I had a botched cosmetic and mechanical restoration on my 1985 R80 and was told by the arbitrator that I will need one to have any shot at winning my case. I understand that remuneration would be in order.

Call into Max BMW up in your region. Maybe they have some suggestions. Also check this link...call some shops near you and see if they can offer some ideas.

Thanks you. The BMW Max is in upstate NY and I am on Long Island ( way downstate NY) Calling shops in my area has not been helpful. No one wants to get involved because I was told "we all know each other, we are like a brotherhood"

.....although it took months and had to go to trial without an expert witness. I was well prepared with an annotated plaintiff statement, a glossary with illustrations, an addendum and many photos. I did not get as much as I wanted and am contemplating an appeal. (Yes you can appeal in NYS Small Claims even if you win if you feel substantial justice was not done.) I am not sure if I will appeal because of the additional cost but my faith in the system was was restored.
