For those who don't follow the FB offerings, announcing the 2018 edition of the annual New Glarus Gathering, during the season of poor riding, to be held on February 2,3,4 at the Chalet Landhaus in New Glarus, WI. There are breweries, wineries, cheese-eries and other things in the area. We usually arrive Friday afternoon, mingle in the lobby by the fireplace, go out to eat, socialize some more, then continue on Saturday through Sunday morning. So far nobody has ridden to this event. There are snowmobile and cross-country ski trails nearby, for those so inclined. Indoor heated pool and hot tub, too. Bring stuff to share, along with stories and smiles.

Right now the forecast for next weekend is seasonal temps and dry/no precip. Looks like the usual suspects, along with maybe a couple new faces. What do folks prefer for Friday dinner - buffet and polka at the Hotel New Glarus? Or pizza at the Sugar River Pizzaria. Either way I'll have to let the restaurant know in advance.

Looking forward to seeing everybody there!

Updated forecast shows seasonal temps with a 50% chance of snow Saturday and Sunday. That's why we call it the season of poor riding. Travel safely, everybody, and looking forward to seeing you there!
