Not what you asked but I used givi p35 on my 2011 and their rack mounting system. The racks remove in seconds and the bags are contoured for a nice look. Good system cheaper than BMW.
I had Jesse's on my R1150. The ground clearance was horribly insufficient until I put a GS suspension on it and raised it 3-1/2". The GS suspension has to be fitted with the GS side and center stands, footpeg brackets, brake master cylinder and foot controls. Big advantage is the increased leg room, but quite an undertaking with lots of time scouring used parts. This conversion is not possible on the R1200 because the footpeg brackets are welded to the frame instead of bolted on.
