An acquaintance has inherited three /2 rolling chassis (wheels, tires, brakes, swing arm, final drives); all in good condition with Earles forks, no engines, no transmissions.

Would anyone feel comfortable suggesting what these might be worth?

Thanks.

Thanks for the input Kurt. This was in response to an individual on the SovietSteeds Ural/Dnepr forums who was thinking that a Ural drive train might fit into the /2.

He was convinced that down-grading the /2 to Ural gear wasn't the way to go and that by the time all the extraneous machine work, custom fabrication was done the money involved would too great. Since Friday (9/29), he has located an R80 engine and transmission and ready to start. The chair he has is an old Steib TR500, so this should make a really nice rig. And, he'll have leftovers to sell!

I'm looking forward to his progress reports, and have to admit to quite a bit of envy...

Wow; that was a labour of love.

A lot of work has gone into compiling that list...it's been around a long time. I saved 5 engine cases from the dumpster that were at a widow's house in Ft. Collins, CO. Rather than that happen, I went up there and brought them back. They're safely in my attic. Fingers crossed...maybe someone will come up with the matching frames. :thumb
