I have finally figured out how to properly mount a set of airhorns on a motorcycle. The first photo is of a set on a 1970 Moto Guzzi, obviously done wrong. The second photo is of one horn mounted on the port side of the engine case... again, obviously a far better placement for the classic accessories. Last photo is of the starboard side horn that is missing, with only a hole in the case, left behind. In this tried and true method, one needs only to drill a hole in the engine case on each side, and voila... perfect placement. Well, unless you lose your horn. I would suggest that everyone predrill their engine cases in anticipation of this needed addition.
Now, for filling the hole. Perhaps some tig welding... but then the grinding of the weld needs to be exceptionally well done in order to make the case look as though it is unmolested. Any thoughts? Lee
