As we would say in the Amateur Radio World- How are you all doing in 4 land?

Even with some "hype" filtering, this looks like a big one with the potential to smite Florida.

I suspect our Members are pretty busy down there in one form or another....Good luck :thumb

Just got my house boarded up and ready to hunker down with the track running right through our location in central florida as of tonight. Expecting hundred mph winds which we weathered fine in 2004 a few times. That was the year we were in 4 eyes in just a few months. The price you pay to live in paradise. Keep us in your prayers.

I work for FEMA as a reservist. We have a program where we can make ourselves unavailable for deployment for specific periods of time. Yesterday the Director of FEMA exercised his authority to invoke an Extraordinary Circumstances provision and mobilize all reservists, including those on pre-approved unavailable status. First time that has happened that I am aware of. By the end of the month I expect to be deployed in either the Harvey or Irma disaster area. Irma has the potential to be particularly awful.
