New to BMW Brand Bikes

I just recently purchased my 2016 BMW R1200 GSA White. First time riding a BMW, convert from a Moto Guzzi Stelvio. I am out of the Sacramento, CA area.

My actual first time to ride a BMW was on an off road training ride I was doing with my Stelvio, the difference between the bikes was considerably noticeable. It was my older brothers 2014 GSA, he kept telling me I would like it better but i didn't believe him. When I got back from the training I knew I wanted one.

Welcome to BMW's, welcome to the club. I know your going to enjoy that ride. Explore everything the club has to offer, it's an excellent resource for the BMW rider. If your brother isn't an MOA member, do to him what he did to you, and convince him that he will like it, because he will. I would love to see you both an an MOA event. Check out our adventure series events this year, take leave from work and commit, you won't regret it.

Welcome and I'm sure you'll have many enjoyable riding miles ahead.

I rented a GS for the ride from Denver to SLC for the MOA Rally and back (flew into Denver so I'd have a good distance to ride) and enjoyed it. I usually ride my RT, I have an R100GS, but most of my riding is on pavement. The new GS is the most versatile Dual-Sport bike I've ridden.
