2011 R1200GS What is the best replacement seat?

Hi....I am going to ride my 2011 R1200GS around Lake Superior in September.
I definitely need a better seat for long distance riding and comfort.
Can I please get some recommendations from others on replacement seats that have proven to be a big upgrade.
    Thanks very much,
    Dave Arundel

Nothing you could get by September, but for me I haven't looked past Russell for decades. Every time I buy a motorcycle, Russell sells a seat.

    Thanks....

Thanks Lee...wow does that look comfortable.
The stock seat is like sitting on a brick!
    I will check into Russell.
    Again...thanks.

    Seat replacement

My 2012 GS wins the prize for the worst BMW OEM seat, I've owned. All my BMW's seats have been simply awful. I replaced the GS seat with a Sargeant, better but not great. A Russell Daylong on 07 R12R was the best of aftermarket seats I've had, but the process is rather time consuming. I suspect their are owners that just love the stock seat, but they would be in the minority. You'd think BMW would be able accomplish developing a seat that is reasonably comfortable.......

They used to crack me up by putting an uncomfortable seat on an expensive motorcycle, and then offering the option of an extra cost "Comfort Seat". Then it turns out the the "Comfort Seat" is also uncomfortable.

I think they were the original Eisenhintern.

I have use the AirHawk R for the last 6 years, can ride for 14 h with no sore a....
Very cheap compared to a complete seat replacement, can be switched from bike to bike.
I use one for the pilion too, she loves it!
Did the Lake Superior trip, I enjoyed the north side and Duluth most, I think you will too. Have a nice one!
