Well I am here and it has been quite a ride. I have made several blog entries and won't repeat the details, but Colorado and Utah were the highlights.

I did the I-70 route and stayed a down day in Idaho Springs. Nice little town. The ride from there to Grand Junction was mountains, meandering river ride, and redlands where the temperature soared into the 30Cs. Nearly had heat stroke.

A friend insisted I buy some tablets to add to water to rehydrate myself. It works. A little salty aftertaste, but if you are ready to fall off the bike, this is the answer.

Then into Utah. No services for long distances. Gas up when you can. Fill the tank. There are few rest stops too. But, if you like twisties, some of the sections are just superb.

Welcome Ed and glad you made it safely from the GTA! I think you meant Colorado Springs not Idaho but I'm sure you are tired. Saw lots of Beemers on I-80 and I-15 coming into SLC today. Hopping on my bike shortly and going for a ride downtown this evening. Cheers!
