Dash Warning message 06 K1200 GT

EGRAHAM

Club President
06 K 1200 GT with issues last 4 days: (1) misfiring, engine would not idle, may have been bad gas (2) @ same time gas gauge not working. (3) and today, 07.04 Dash warning message "CHECK" appears for @ 2 seconds when key is turned on.

I guess you didn't get to Steve's to have him check it on the GS911. Do you have a trailer to get it there?

Ran the GS911 on Monday

GS911 showed nothing, ran it to see if it was anything other than gas issue. Rode up to Fredericksburg, got gas and then this popped up. Just checked and it is still showing up.

I checked mine yesterday and I get the "Check" message also when I turn on the key. Do believe it's part of the system startup sequence.

– Dash Message

I checked mine yesterday and I get the "Check" message also when I turn on the key. Do believe it's part of the system startup sequence.

At the dealer 8 AM this morning and waiting, it's not a gas issue. Brought it in Thursday nothing showing on diagnostics, replaced the fuel strip. That didn't work brought it back yesterday replaced the fuel strip again, it's running really rich again. Return to the dealer and they did not have an idea as to what the problem is. So I'm back today to see if they have the parts, it is a good chance it's the idle motor, fuel control unit or fuel coil.
