Vintage Bike

How old does a bike have to be to be considered Vintage? I want to put my 1979 R100T with sidecar in the Vintage bike display at the SLC National next month.

Welcome to the forum! From last year's rally, the vintage display had bikes from 1929 to 1976. For the 2015 rally, the years ranged from 1928 to 1975. I think generally, vintage goes through the period of the R90S which ended in 1976. Certainly the ground breaking RS which came out in 1977 might deserve a nod but that remains to be seen. You'll need to check with the organizers to see what they're looking at for their display this year.

After a bit of time, this will be moved to the Rally Forum.
