BMW Rider on Mission

Thank you

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I like stories that are real.

It is good to see a motorcycling pioneer being recognized and there are others that are deserving of such recognition. My favorites are Clyde "Slim" Williams and John Logan. They rode BSA motorcycles from Alaska to the lower 48 in 1939. One of the bikes is (was) on display at the Museum of the North on the campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Williams also mushed a dog team from Fairbanks to Washington DC in the early 30s to promote the idea of a road to Alaska.
