Throttle Cable

Yesterday while passing a slow moving line of cars I lost the throttle. How embarrasing. I motored home on fast idle.

I have since dicovered that the cable broke at the motor end.

Before I get too far in to this can of worms, is this a job that a mechanic is modest ability can tackle or should I rent a trailer (God forbid) and haul it in to the dealer? I've allready got the gas tank off and tried removing the battery tray, which seem part of a larger component

Help Cecil, help.
