'85 K100RS Crazed glass coolant temp gauge

I have a coolant temp gauge that has a crazed glass, has anyone ever replaced the glass on an OEM temp gauge and if so how was it done? Thanks, Craig

You need to include the YEAR and MODEL of your bike in the TITLE of your post. Not all Flying Bricks use the same gauges.

You will probably have a hard time trying to change the title to your post as you are the "thread originator" :) No worries, just post again (maybe edit your post), and we can get the ball rolling as to what you need.

Temp gauge crazed glass

I recently purchased a 1985 BMW K100RS, which has a coolant temp gauge, OEM mounted in the right hand upper knee cover. I want to replace the glass, I plan to take this bike apart and replace and refurbish as needed. Can any of you members lead me to a link to do the temp gauge glass replacement? Next time I will remember to include my bikes info.

Took care of your title.

It probably would be easiest just to replace the whole gauge.

PM sent.
