    2016 Motorcycle Theft Statistics

Looks like the Marquee has become more popular and is rising on the list of most stolen, faster than any other brand.

    Cool

High-performing Japanese sportbikes and Harley-Davidsons with expensive after-market parts - still dominating the "most likely to be stolen" list.

    Not much has really changed.

According to the website story, both South and North Carolina seem to be hotspots for MC/scooter thefts on a per capita basis.

I'm guessing the S1000RR and S1000R are the most stolen BMWs.

I'm looking at the grand total of 33,178 bikes stolen with the top five brands, then comparing it to the 415 total for BMWs. Looks like I will be able to sleep at night knowing my old Beemer will most likely still be in the garage in the morning. But, I'll admit it, that 33% increase over a year does evoke in me a certain pride. "That's right you Harley owner. My bike's worth stealin', too!"

They were ALL stolen - ergo, they did not make the list at all.
