Why did my 600 mile break in cost almost $2000???

I'll tell you why: hyper lights, engine guards, box guards, top box, tank bag, cooling vest, summer long undershirt, new face shield for the neo-tech...

oh yeah, they also changed some fluids...

The maintenance is killing me!! LOL

My sister brought her brand new Harley in for its first service and when she started it, it made a horrid racket!

She walked back in and demanded to know what they'd done to her bike. She had admired how quiet the stock muffler was.

They reassured her, saying they do that for all customer's bikes. She smiled and said, "Not mine."

They had to take the charge for new and improved muffler off the bill before she would pay.

Ah, but did they remove the "new and improved muffler"?

A little topic drift.... You all may remember when auto dealers used to put their die-cast aluminum "badges" on all the cars they sold. In 1969 my dad took delivery of his custom ordered, Pontiac Grand Prix "J" in Columbus, Indiana; it was a stunning automobile. And sure enough, the dealer had drilled holes in the trunk lid to mount his badge. Dad refused to take delivery until it was removed, and the rear deck repainted, unless they paid him some un-remembered amount per month for "advertising services". The truck lid was repainted.

The Toyota dealer I bought from did the same to me when I bought my Celica in '73.......I even had it in writing that the badge not be installed.......they reluctantly repaired the damage
