Are these Velcro attached kidney protectors for a Roadcrafter jacket purchased about a year ago.

Their website doesn't show anything like that as related to a kidney belt/protector or any attachments that go with the Roadcrafter gear.

I don't have the slightest idea where they came from, but they match up to the Velcro at the kidney area in the Roadcrafter. Doesn't look right there though. Wonder what goes at the Velcro location in the jacket ? Pants ? Bibs ?

I did search Aerostitch's site before but I think they have too much info in different places and it took too much time to search around when I bought a jacket from them or looked up these items.

I used two search words - kidney and roadcrafter. I didn't see any images that compare to your picture. Aerostich sells a variety of armor. As for the Velcro, there could be a general location for most attach points and that's why it matches for you.

The only inside velcro on a Roadcrafter I am aware of (unless the suit is custom) is for the optional back protector.

I had a pair of Firstgear overpants I purchased in 2003 that had hip pads that shape.
The pads were very light duty foam that you put in a nylon pouch then attached the pouch to the hip area inside the pants with Velcro.

Possibly hip pads? Upside down could cover kidney along with right side left side thing
Might go in front and protect unborn child also!
