torque specification for puig engine guards

Just purchased the puig lower engine guards for my 16 R1200GS ,the instructions say to tighten to the torque specified in the oem maintenance manual , but if unavailable use 54Nm for the M10 screws and 22Nm for the M8 screws . Does anyone know the oem specs or are these appropriate ? Thanks !

Do tell

I just ordered a set. I suppose we could swipe some of the torque specs from the Toura-Tech video. I think they all mount pretty much at the same points.

What I found

INSTRUCTIONS TO ASSEMBLE

You should first mount one side of the engine guard then the other, otherwise the engine will be unsupported. All the screws replaced, should be tightened to the torque specifi ed in the oem maintenance manual for your motorcycle. if no torque specifications are provided in the oem maintenance manual, may be used 54Nm for all M10 screws and 22Nm for the M8 screw.

Medium strength liquid thread-locker (i.e., “Loctite”) should be used to secure all screws, bolts and nuts.
All screws, bolts and nuts should be checked after driving the fi rst 50 km to ensure that all are tightened to the proper torque.

Still refer to the Toura-Tech video.
