Is this the MOA Owner News for January you're talking about? Very few have seen that issue yet.
Or are you talking about the Airmail issue that the Airheads Beemer Club mails out?
I got the January issue today and I am in Canada as for the airmail thing, it does not make sense to me

I got a AirHeadache trying to make sense of this thread last night, the Airmail arrived today and now the headache is gone.
There is a well written article at the back of "AIRMAIL" with the title AVERTING ELECTRICAL GREMLINS that applies to all vehicles, not just old ones.
It made my day.
I'm sending the R90/6 heads out to be rebuilt, now during the downtime I'll do some preventative maintenance by going through the wiring.

I think Joe had a restaurant in Colorado somewhere which is not in business any more. I think Joe has left us also.
