1991 K100 LT and
1980 R100T

Got the K100 from a friend a couple of years ago. Had been sitting in his garge for the past 8 years. His wife was happy.
got the R100 this past summer, it has been sitting for the past 15 years, trying to bring it back to life.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you made other people happy and yourself as well! Sound be fun getting them back on the road.

RE: the R100T...it's hard to tell from the picture, but you should know that the snowflake wheel was recalled for those built up until around September 1982. BMW added additional ribbing to prevent cracking of the rim. See Snowbum's site for the details:

Welcome to the forum. I'm a new member myself who recently relocated from SoCal to the Central Coast . I joined the forum after picking up a sweetheart '02 R1150RT with low mileage. The folks on here are friendly and very knowledgable and willingly share their insights with newbies like us. I've been riding a long time, but this is only the second BMW I've owned and the the first one with a Boxer engine. The K bikes are great! I got my eyes on a K100RS next, if I can buy one for a reasonable price. Keep us posted on your progress with your bikes. They look like great road worthy candidates just needing some TLC.
