SHAD bags

I like the style & price of the SHAD bags for the new R1200R/RS and have heard some stories that SHAD makes the BMW bags. Anybody have experience with this product line?

I have the Shad 50 top box on my RT. Requires a different mount, but a great product and you can get a cover that, depending on the color of your bike, may match (or come pretty close to matching).

I bought a set for my wife's Honda CTX700. Very nice bags, strong, good locks, water proof and they have a ledge at the bottom so stuff doesn't fall out when opened.

While not the specific product you're looking at, I bought a SHAD SH50 for my R1200RTW this summer. It's a high quality product, every bit as nice as any BMW case with which I've had experience. Based on this one purchase, I'd give SHAD high marks for quality and functionality. I'll probably eventually paint it to match my RT's color, but it integrates pretty well with the design even without doing that.

I found my SHAD topcase was quite a bit cheaper on Amazon.com, but the RT-specific mount was only available directly from the importer. Their website is a bit of a challenge to navigate and they sometimes don't have everything in stock, so be prepared for a possible delay if you buy directly from SHAD. At the time I purchased, the discount code "discount5" gave me a 5% discount on orders. My experiences here: http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=967074#Post967074

The bags and hardware seem to get good reviews. The importer, however, seems to be a bit shakey
