I am going to be in the Ocala area over the holidays and was wondering about the riding in the area....any fun roads? I will be on my 1200GS. Thanks

Fisherman... I get down that way to visit my mom in Gainesville. While the riding in the area isn't stellar, I found that the best thing to do is play left, right, left, right...

IOW, just get out there and get lost. Take the dirt (sand) roads....

You'll see plenty of the above.

Fisherman, Ocala National Forest http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/ nearly 400K acres with forest roads and ORV trails that crisscross each other for a couple hundred miles of riding. No cross country travel (which means u can't make new trails) but as long as u have a tag on ur M/C ur free to travel the forest. Oh keep off the birding, and hiking trails and watch out for hunters if ur gonna be there in hunting season, there usually out in the AM and PM.

Have Fun, and run ur tires low as the sand tends to be deep in some areas.
