Is adding a heated seat possible?

Bike ('09 G650GS) has heated grips, but not a heated seat. Was wondering if like most manufactures, the wiring harness is there, just not the necessary components. I have heated clothing that I use on my touring bike, but sometimes just a bit of warmth in the seat is all that is necessary. Not planning on using the heated clothing on the dual sport.

Thanks,
Brian

I have never come upon a bike with the electrics already there for a heated seat. However, it is simply a fused switched 12v supply or you can feed it from a heated clothing controller if you want more precise adjustment.

I'm not sure if they still do, but Wunderlich used to sell a heated seat pad that strapped on under your seat and plugged into an auxiliary socket. Maybe you can find one second hand.

Before you plug that heated seat in, make sure you have a voltage monitor. On my '05, I'm running a deficit at idle when using my heated grips and a heated vest. At 4K - 5K RPM, there's no problem.
