San Fran local help needed....

Hey all

After piling my bike up, I'm in the middle of the "insurance dance". So, far everything is looking positive for a decent offer from them, so am starting to look for my next one. I've focused in on an 2013 R1200RT at the Frisco BMW motorcycle dealer. Since I'm up in WA state, it isn't practical to break away for a couple of hours and go look at it, so wondering if there's anyone local who can go over to the dealer and give it a "once over" for me??

Basically, I'm looking for any major red flags that would prevent me from purchasing. Some local eyes on it would be pretty helpful info before purchasing an airline ticket. Thanks. Steve 360-391-3429

I can't go look at it for you as I'm about 6 hours away but late last year I bought a bike from SF BMW and the transaction could not have gone smoother. Also a 2013.

They sent me lots of photos, photos of every scratch. Photos of stuff that looked worse in the photos than in real life. I don't think the dealer is going to screw you with a mechanically unsafe bike or even misrepresent the bike. I flew up in the morning, checked the bike over, bought it and rode my 6 hours home. I've been a happy camper. Those are really nice folks at that dealership and I've always thought I got a really good deal, even to this day.

But I understand you're wanting to have someone look at it. I tried that but it never worked out with a few people I know.

Good luck!!
