'13 GS Clutch Question

I recently purchased a 2013 GS (my first BMW bike) with ~30k. As I do not yet have a feel for what is right with the big BMW, I was hoping for some of your experience to put my anal engineering mind at ease.

I have put 4k on the bike in 2 months since buying it. Great...FUN...bike to ride.

My issue is the bike has started dropping out of 2nd into N or 1st if I leave it in gear coming to a stop. I am now a bit too hyper-vigilant waiting for something to break, but perceive that I have about 1-1.5 inches of clutch friction engagement at the lever upon release. I am obviously thinking clutch wear...but hope you can share some grey beard experience.

Any thoughts? Is the clutch adjustable? Am I on the wrong path with clutch wear? Any idea on the replacement cost of a clutch?

I don't have an answer to your question but your warranty is 3 yr / 36000 miles. You might still have warranty remaining ..... ( if a gearbox problem)
