    Oil in the exhaust

My 2011 R1200GS took a slow speed fall in the grass yesterday. I got it shut off within probably 3 sec., after that on the way back home I could smell brunt oil, I could see a little smoke coming from the muffler below engine. Only thing I can think is some oil went through the exhaust valve when it was laid over. Would that be the correct way to think and is that some what normal or is there something I should check. Thanks.

I wouldn't worry. It's normal for the rider to be a bit "hypersensitive" to "new" noises or smells after the bike take a "nap".

More likely some oil collected in the rings of the downward cylinder. No problem as it will burn out.
