I have an '05 1200RT and am having problems with the ABS/Servo, as periodically after starting the bike, the warning light doesn't go off after starting the bike as it should, and more recently, the system has failed while riding (warning light goes on and the brake lever and/or pedal become rock hard). I bought a GS-911 after it happened the last time and it showed a "high-pressure" condition.
Even though I grew up riding dirt bikes in the era of brake cables and drum brakes that didn't at all after a water crossing or particularly well in any case (and throttles that occasionally stuck open), the idea of a brake failure, particularly one involving front and rear brakes, on a street bike isn't something I'm particularly interested in experiencing.
Anyone know if there is a likely fix for this other than replacing or removing the ABS/servo unit? While feasible, this isn't exactly a cost-effective solution.
Thanks, Mike

Whizzie systems have a second design problem which I suspect causes many of the main motor issues. Its that silly little microswitch up on the bar that can and will stick if it gets dirt in it over time. When it does, I suspect many owners fail to notices the brake motor running when it should not- which cause rapidly accelerated wear and the need for repair I heard the stuck on motor on my K and fixed the microswitch by hitting it with some silicon lube....
I hate linked brakes. Years learning how to do it right by habit and some engineer thinks his half-a..ed algorithm is better than me- it's not and always uses too little rear so noobs don't do a self wipeout.
