    Air filter replacement

I have a 1991 K1. I have removed the side panels and have undone the three clips holding the top half of the air filter box to the bottom half.

I can only move the top half about 1/4 inch which is not enough clearance to pull out the old air filter.

Any tricks that I am missing ?

    Thanks

    Don

    Don,

That's as far as the lid moves. Just release the clamping force and slide the filter out. The rubber on the filter may be stuck to the housing plastic. Try wiggling it left and right while pulling straight out.

Got it. There was a little latch near the "Top/Open" side that was caught.
