If your plans include Nova Scotia and you thought to do that from Yamouth to Portland....you need to know that the Nova Star folks just lost their contract with the Nova Scotia Government. Bay Ferries is negotiating to take over and that is GOOD NEWS. Bay Ferries is Canadian owned and already runs a number of routes. So, best make a note to check things in the Spring. It is probable that there will be a different schedule and pricing. Worse case, if you just have to take a Ferry, consider the Digby / St. John run. And if you have never been to Nova Scotia, consider the annual Raiding Party as a few of us go there each year for the Bluenose Rally right around the 4th of July www.RaiderSportTouring.com
