Sometimes I leave the browser window open to the MOA forum, and then forget about it as I work in other applications. Do I continuously appear as a currently active user, or is there a time out after a certain period?

I think you stay on. If you look at the listing of who's doing what, you can see when last activity was.

Actually KBasa, I have to disagree with you on this one. Unless Knary tweaked the settings typically an SQL session will time out after 20 minutes of inactivity. So the server will "disconnect" you and you will not show up as online. However if you do not refresh your window (which will reconnect you) your browser will still show online.
