2001 K1200rs front brake sticking on

Having some unusually warm Nov weather here this week so I took my bike out for a ride, after about 100k my brake failure light came on and a few kms down the road after braking I noticed the front brakes had stuck on. I pulled over and gear down and they released, so I limped home and looked over the obvious such as fluid levels which were all normal. Today I removed the rear pads and they are down to about a mm. Any advice as to why front brakes may be sticking and are the low rear pad level any correllation.

Make sure to check both chambers of the back reservoir.

You could have a rubber brake hose delaminating on the inside if you are still running with the original hoses. Went to SS braided on my '03 because of that.

Yes I was reading a few other forums and that was one pssibility so I am going to change them change them over the winter.

And aside from the levels being correct, when is the last time the fluid was flushed? Could be enough water in the fluid to expand when heated and keep some pressure on the pads.
Good move on planning to replace the brake lines.
