    Question Finding replacement parts/bolts

Hey everyone I am new to the forum. I was recently replacing the tire on my R1200CLC and when I went to put the tire back on and torque down the brake caliper mounting bolts one of the bolts started to break. I was able to save myself from having to drill the bolt out but I can't seem to find replacement bolts anywhere online. I guess my question is.. what is the best place to find replacement bolts/parts? Thank you in advance for any help.

Instead of Google, check out the on-line parts fiche from Max BMW -
http://www.maxbmw.com/ is their home page, click on "Parts" (just below the MW of the header), click on "Fiche" on the page that comes up, select your model and year, then select the category.

A&S has a similar setup - http://www.ascycles.com/ then click on "Resources", then "Illustrated Parts Catalog".

Google is unlikely to drill down to specific vehicle parts.

A call to a dealer will. And as described above, on Max', A&S' and Real OEM you can even look up parts and numbers.

Note the "10.9" in the bolt description. This is a metric designation of a higher strength bolt, similar to ASA Grade 8. Not a run of the mill Ace or True Value bolt.

If you know what you want Fastenal or mcmaster.com have it. If you liked to wander through the hardware store when you were a kid visit mcmaster, it's amazing.
