key fob battery replacement

what is the trick to open key fob battery cover?

I had a salesman show me. If I recall correctly, you flip the key fob over to the reverse side. Now pry the lower cover off, the area away from the metal key, with a pocket knife or whatever.

Yes, there is a replaceable battery.

Also, there is a warning symbol on the dash to indicate when that battery is getting low.

You already have one fail?

Not me. I just wanted to know what was involved in replacing the battery, which should last at least a couple of years, comparable to one in a car. The one for the bike has something the car key fob does not: a warning light on the bike's dash to indicate it is getting low.

When I picked up my 2015 R1200GSA with alarm system I asked that the buttons on it did. They were clueless. I looked at the manual and got no answers. Can someone tell me what the round BMW button does and what the arrow button does?

On my 2015 RTW with Keyless, one press of the roundel activates the central locking, second press activates the alarm. One press of the adjacent rectangular button unlocks the bike and turns off the alarm.
