Twenty-five years ago, an inmate serving a life sentence in a Missouri prison wrote to a church outside St. Louis hoping that someone would write back. Ever since, Ginny Schrappen corresponded with Lamar Johnson, convinced that his 1995 murder conviction was wrong. In February 2023, Johnson was exonerated and released from prison. Now, the 80-year-old retired schoolteacher could finally welcome the former inmate in her home. Steve Hartman reports.

7th grader stops school bus after driver passes out
A Michigan school district released school bus video showing seventh grader Dillon Reeves take the wheel and help to stop the bus after the driver suffered a medical emergency.
Nice job by the bus driver as well to recognize that something was wrong.

My riding buddy and I were rolling home from West Marin and encountered a guy on a Ducati that had run out of gas less than a mile from my house. We came home, pulled some gas out of my airhead because it's so easy to do and got him rolling again.
He was off and running and I figure we'll see him at the bakery in Tomales next week.
