"Fly in, Drive home" question

Whatever your home state says

I live in Arkansas and bought my bike in Missouri. Before I picked it up I went to the revenue office and inquired about temporary tags to bring it home and was told to keep the bill of sale withme and I had thirty days to register it. I contacted the Missouri highway patrol and they told me my home state requirements must be met, not Missouri's. I rode it home with no tags and had no problems.
