While reinstalling the wheels after new tires where mounted I noticed both front brake calipers had uneven pad wear; the outter pad on both had twice the wear and the inner pads were almost new. The new-to-me bike has 14k on it and while not an expert it seems that either the brakes need to be bled and/or calipers rebuilt? I just had the bike serviced at a local BMW shop and they said this wear is "normal", does anyone else have this problem?

Brake wear

Personally I would take the calipers off the disc and do a thorough cleaning of the piston area and the location points of the pad to caliper. Then install new pads.
