Hello - My name is Pete and I just purchased a 2015 BMW R1200R last week. I live in western North Carolina, Denver, NC, to be exact. I do a lot of riding in the mountains and on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The 2015 R1200R is a very impressive motorcycle. It has plenty of power, fantastic brakes and it corners like it is on rail. In the last six years I have ridden 88k miles all on Harley Davidson bikes. I am really looking forward some long rides on the R1200R.

Welcome, Pete! Nice bike for a nice part of the country. The B.R.P. is nice but it sure would be better if the speed limit was a bit higher. Nice scenery, though. Post a picture when you get a chance.

Welcome here... and great choice of bike for the area.

Our weekend/future retirement home is just west of Asheville... I hope you ride over and visit sometime.

If you ever need some riding info out our way, please let me know.

The secret of the BRP is the roads leading to it. :evil

Hello Pete from another new BMW owner. Just like you I bought a new RT last week as well. I'm a long-time rider and especially love riding in your neck of the woods. The BRP ranks up there in my top 3 rides.

Pete,

Welcome to the club and the forum! Post a pic of your new bike when you get a chance.

Thanks for being a member!

Welcome Pete,

Glad to have you here. You live in a great part of the US for good riding.

Visian posted some routes near the BRP. I highly recommend them as they will put a big smile on your face. :thumb

Would love to see a picture or two of your new bike. :wave
